Staff Food was reasonable
Room keys didn't work Bistro like a canteen Poor location for holiday guest.Safe didn't work No drawers in room Resented being put in disabled room as we are able bodied.very dusty shelves clothes covered in dust. All in all not a good experience.
I was on a business trip with Hockey Brisbane filming for a TV show, pleased to hear you support the locals, did an interview with Rita Boyd who is off to represent Australia and needs all the funding she can get. Room was great as were restaurants and staff.
My son left his phone re charger in the room ! An ice bucket or ice maker would have been nice in the room. Your staff in the Italian restaurant were having issues which could have been kept from the public eye.
As I work for a charity I am always looking for the best value for money when I travel for the Leukaemia Foundation. The deal I received through Booked.net was great value for money. Considering I pay this amount and more at Dysart/Moranbah/Mount Isa and Mackay to name a few your facilities were a genuine make up on the rest.
There was an opened milk in the fridge on arrival but after saying that it was replaced by 3 of the same size delivered to the room. You can't complain about that.
new rooms, mostly good interior
carpets not very clean Bathroom fittings/accessories not planned well ( the designer should be bathing in the bathroom to know that some of it is awkward) Work-in-progress, no proper access for people coming in with luggage
It's quite restricted as to what I should comment on, I honestly didn't spend enough time on premises to judge as we arrived very late and left early morning.
Staff was very friendly, even though we reached quite late. And of course, the free wifi was a nice touch, considering many other hotels did not provide this.
Freindly service, food was average, location,
The motel was a very nice set up, however the entrance was somewhat dangerous, with trip hazards in our pathway, little to no signage to highlite to your guests the work and hazards in the area (Main entrance) we had a hammer drill sound vibrating through the room till fairly late in the day Most annoying when you want to rest, we couldnt open the curtains because there were workers right outside our window, the TV was impossible to watch as it pixalated and froze continuously on every channel, parking out in the open and for all that we were still charged full price...I know this sounds very negative but this is what people will remember...I put to you that while the guests have to endure the work in progress there they should be compinsated in some manner and not charged full price, this is not a fully functional establishment as yet...it hasnt left a very good impression on us and we are sorry I dont think we will be back.
The staff were very positive and helpful. The room was clean and inviting. Although I've commented on things we didn't enjoy, overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the enjoyment of our stay.
The room did not have any information on the services provided, no compendium. The work being carried out at the entrance to the centre was disruptive, and on two occassions we had to walk under a working platform, which I'm sure is not accepted practice for safety. The location of the Hotel is a little out of the way from the city centre.
The hotel was still under construction There is no room service available There was no hotel or local area information in the room
Convenient stop over on our way north from Brisbane
The fact that while the restaurants were open until 10 they stopped taking orders at 9. Also the restaurant staff were not familiar with the beers available from the bar.
The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
The Mercure was undergoing renovations. If we had been informed of this when booking, we would not have chosen to stay there. As it was, we were not informed, and this was very inconvenient. We were advised to park in the first-floor garage, however there was no lift access from the garage to the room, and we were not told this. Consequently we had to haul our luggage up/down stairs to and from the car. The toilet leaked from the pedestal, and consequently there was always water on the floor. The television did not work. The staff moved us to another room, and then they discovered that none of the televisions worked. We were not able to call reception from our room: the phone did not work. Possibly this was connected to the phone problem. Also, I was not informed upon booking that the hotel was connected to a Club. I was under the impression that the restaurants were part of the hotel. If I had known this, again I would not have booked the Mercure, as club food is notoriously very ordinary. I would say that service in the restaurants was standard for a sports club, but not of sufficient standard for any good restaurant. Overall, this was a very negative experience for us, and consequently consider that our stay there was grossly overpriced.
I was able to get a room booking on the Internet at short notice. Airport shuttle was supplied.
Construction was not complete. No trolleys available for luggage.
It was still under construction, lots of loud noise and banging and also a few defects with the room (cupboard door doesn't close without banging, etc). No full length mirrors in the rooms.
Excellent service! Room was amazingly clean and comfortable.
No inclusion of breakfast, but the Italian restaurant did an amazing breakfast
